Article from Local News Hotness (and Emmy Award Nominee!!!) JenCook's site:

http://www.cfnews13.com/Space/DestinationSpace/2009/11/12/sts129_twitter_with_astronauts_during_mission.html

Written by Scott Harris, and includes some commentary from Caitlin Kuleci Constantine

It was the first I had heard of FOUR previous tweetups, but this was the first to grant such unparalleled access. From what I hear, the sheer volume of positive feedback has boosted even the morale of the guys at NASA. Pretty awesome.

Although extremely jealous, I am THRILLED that a few of our friends were able to go to the Nasa Tweetup! I loved getting all of the updates on twitter and being able to see the launch LIVE on Ustream from their point of the view!

Kyles pictures listed above were amazing and I can only hope that Nasa does this event again!  I have a feeling that it will never compare to the event that Mickey, Ross, Natalie and Kyle got to experience but still hold out hope to be able to attend a similar event in the future Smiley

I look forward to hearing Mickey and Ross talk about it first hour on Friday Smiley

I listened to today's Somacow podcast while at work, and listening to Mickey and Ross talk about the tweet-up made me jealous even though I worked at KSC for 4 years and witnessed numerous launches.

If you made some connections out at KSC, try and get passes to witness a landing.  Watching the shuttle drop from the sky and glide to earth is as exciting as the launch (if not more so).

That is the same sign i got a picture of a month or so ago when I was at the ISS Building.. (ISS is the International Space Station)...

And the one time I saw a shuttle launch at the cape was years ago, for mission STS-41. we had a pass to go on KSC property, and were by the VIP Viewing stands to watch that launch. We could feel the heat come across the lake there... It was awesome
