I didn't realize that manatees were a desired dish for some.

I would have thought they were about 98% body fat.

Here are my thoughts.

manatee is in continuous motion. Slow twitch, gentle motion. Good initial meatload. Bouyed by water, they will possess excellent marbling. Their diet is rich leafy freshwater greens, excellent for an herbivore's taste.

I picture manatee being a cross between kobe beef and baby back ribs. Fat=Flavor.

Just don't order it at a drive-in restaurant.

 Speaking of manatees, Jim Gaffigan and several others haven't been funny to me apart from their animated give and take on Dr Katz.
