Stumbled across this - the 1990s, in one pic:

Not necessarily a perfect example but I thought I'd go for it.  Everyone in the 2000's is obsessed with electronics, everything I'm wearing was ordered on the internet, and of course, the picture was taken in a wide format.  None of my tattoos are showing though.  I think that would have been a nice point to make.  On a side note, I'm drinking Crystal Light.  I don't like wine.

Not sure what went wrong but I couldn't put my picture here.  I had to just post this link.

How about a hurricane tracking map on the wall.  That can also represent FLA's 3-peat of '04.

You'll need an image of the twin towers as well.

I think you may have underestimated...

Bonnie crossed the panhandle

Charley cut through the middle

Frances actually hit Florida twice

Ivan is a difficult call... it just barely nipped the top corner of the panhandle

and then looped back

Then Jeanne

In Joe's defense, I am pretty sure I drank my way through a few of those, too.

There are some other aspects to my choice. The election sham of '00 marked the American people's final decent into letting the government treat us like a Sims game.

Russert was the last of the Cronkite era newsmen. He truly represented every day, hard working type people who loved sports, family and everything it meant to succeed at something one loves by honestly working your way up.

Also implicit from that time, Clinton didn't walk on water but he handed Bush a balanced budget.

As soon as someone posts a hooker with a cock in her mouth, this contest is over.
