I'm listening to an old podcast where you're going over The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Believe it or not, the movie was way better than the book (and I don't think the movie was that good either). You guys were talking about the career of Philip Seymour Hoffman (though I don't remember why). It was mentioned that he did a few art films and I would LOVE it if you guys reviewed Happiness. It's by Writer/Director Todd Solontz (not sure about that spelling) that did Welcome to the Dollhouse. It's really heavy and deals with a lot of uncomfortable social issues but it's SOOOO good and I don't think you could fit all your thoughts into a single hour. Might be a little hard to get through, but I think this was Philip's best performance.

Oh wow, Welcome to the Dollhouse was so good! I forgot about that movie, thank you! I saw that in college when the good artsy movies were always featured around town I'd love to see that again, Moovie of the week or not... |

Well, it was Happiness I was actually suggesting. I mentioned it because the same guy wrote and directed it. I actually liked Happiness better than Welcome to the Dollhouse. It played at the Enzian when I was 16 and they weren't letting anyone under 18 in, even if accompanied by a parent. I found it later in Suncoast (way back when it was still in the Altamonte mall).

Nope. Was that one of the shorts that was up for this year's academy award? You should totally check out the film that won. "Logorama" is awesome. I bought it on iTunes but you can see it free if you Google it. |
