I'm taking US Government in school and my teacher wrote his own textbook.  

This week we are reading the "Ideology" chapter and in it is a little quiz that tells you whether you are Liberal or Conservative.  He made this quiz himself and I wanted to share.




1. Strongly Agree
2. Agree
3. Disagree
4. Strongly Disagree

Rate each one of these 1-4, add up the numbers at the end.

1. Abortions in the US should be illegal in almost all circumstances.
2. Homosexuals should not be allowed to serve in the US military.
3. Even though one might not agree with the president on all issues, he is still president of our country and deserves our respect.
4. In order to control crime in our country we need to increase penalties and put more criminals in jail.
5. The US must continue to be the most powerful country in the world militarily.
6. Welfare expenditures need to be cut, especially at the federal level.
7. Organized prayer in public schools should be permitted as long as no one is forced to say them.
8. Marijuana, although not as bad as some other drugs, is still dangerous and should not be legalized.
9. US businesses have too many rules and regulations placed on them by government.

9-13 Very Conservative
14-18 Conservative
19-24 Moderate
25-31 Liberal
32-36 Very Liberal

I scored a 28. To me is seems to be more of a logic test then anything else.

I scored a 26, which I think is fairly accurate for me right now.

I scored a 29, which is surprising for me because I've always considered myself much more liberal than that.

One of the answers I felt I didn't really have an answer for.  I was in around the mid 30's though.  I agree with Silva.  It seems like a test of logic to me.
