...a wave of anticipation sweeps the crowd. (Not really...I just wanted to type that...)
Where are we celebrating the 52nd podcast of "A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan?" Will there be bands and if so how many bands will be there? Food? Just a bar? Will we be doing a "live" podcast or anything interactive like that? Will there be swag? T-shirts...or stickers or some crap like that? (And by crap I mean Couture fashions...)
These are all really, really good questions that both Tom and I have been asking each other...but better to ask those of you that tune in, right? Here's our idea...and again...it's only an idea...but we'd like to do an event in a bar...we'd like to 'cast a bit if at all possible...or at least just bullshit on a mic with you guys...then we want rad bands to play and for the beverages to be flowing at this point...
...and we want to have our shirts ready. But do we want them to be funny...but that's not always promotional...and can at times be a little out there...but what would you guys enjoy more? We want a good mix but definitely want something that the people that support our podcast will like...and will like to wear...
...so...got an idea? For any part of this rambling post? A venue...a day of the week...? Leave it here and Tom and I will get to planning this week...we've got limited time to put this together but we really want a nice celebration to commemorate our first year. It's all because of you guys...
Have a great Super Bowl day...

I think a bar with a few bands would be awesome. T-shirts would be awesome. On the front should be a saying from the show. You know, FTD, Suckamycockababy, etc. On the back it would be cool to have the logo that you use then website, name, etc. A live podcast would be awesome but probably difficult to set up so I think the two of you MCing would be awesome in itself. An outdoor venue would be real cool if possible. I'm not sure of too many in the Orlando area. Wekiva Marina might be good (also a good place for some of us to sneak off and smoke a lefty if you know what I mean).
Either way, I'm sure whatever you guys do will be a good time. I think a Saturday thing would be better because some of us have to work on Fridays and also I'm living in Tallahassee so I want to have time to drive down and have some fun.
I can't believe you guys have been doing this almost a year. I remember listening to the first one and immediately telling everyone how awesome it was. I'll continue spreading the word so long as you guys keep doing what you do best. Much respect to you.

You guys have the in at 903 Mills, right? Set up C-Lane or somebody on the upstairs mini-deck with a guitar and amp and it would be a PERFECT background to a podcast down on the patio area. Not too loud, but definitely present in the background. Set your shit up on two of the tables and have people sit down at the guest mics as they filter in and out for beers. Seriously, that fucking beer cooler is valhalla. Ice Cold and Full of Brew.

As the number one "black podcast" I vote the corner of Parramore and Washington, at like 7:30 pm.

What are some good places in Ocala? I went to a house party up there once. Dude had a 5,000+ sq ft house. I remember eating lots of burritos and drinking lots of bud ice.

Shoot, I'm not to sure of any good places around here. I'm kinda lazy so the best times I've ever had are at House parties. Plus I just turned 21 so I'm still "new" to drinking in public places.

Anything would rock but I feel like at some point in the night two guys should appear, one with a boner and one with shit pants and we put an end to this discussion once and for all. I think the t-shirts should have the logo on the front and say "dont ruin a mediocre time" on the back with the web address. Anyway, keep doing the damn thang. Later

Should we orchestrate who is going to bring the racoon in a box? Or do we just hope that a shining-star black high school student who wants to go to Paris shows up to sell us one?
