That is freakin' awesome! You GO, gerfren!

I'm shooting for 85 pounds in 5 months (January 2nd - May 31st). I'm almost half way in two months, even though the loss rate has dropped.

Today is R&R day. More on that later.

Ok, so on Recupe & Regroup Day, the good news was:
I'm almost halfway to my goal weight in only 2/5 of the time I had planned, with no starvation and only 30 minutes of aerobic exercise per day.

The bad news was:
I've been dancing around within a pound or two of 265 for, like, four thousand weeks.
I cannot get an early enough start in the mornings. Sticking to the schedule is the single most important factor of the whole plan.

Here are the adjustments I'm making for March:

1. GET YOUR ASS TO IT EARLIER, FATTY!
2. Increase workout intensity. I would crank it up to an hour if I ever had one continuous hour to spend on exercise. I may have to settle for either two 30-minute sessions or one 40-minute workout.
I'll also up the pace a little, and replace my 2-pound hand weights with 3-pounders.

We'll see how that goes.

Please don't see that as any sort of poor progress. You've evidently instituted some new habits and stuck with them. That's the healthiest way to do it from what I've heard. Someone who follows one of the hundreds of Bozo diet plans and drops an unnatural amount of weight in a very short time, more often than not doesn't sustain it. That is harder on the heart than if the weight were never lost to begin with.

Absolutely correct. My eventual weight-maintenance plan will be far more important than my current weight-loss plan.

Well I know that:)  I am trying for 8 pounds per month and winter (holiday time) seems to kick my butt.  But I am trying for a change of eating habits and exercising added as I am able to do more.  I hope to be able to hit my major goal by summer of 2011.  And I am trying to learn to be proud of admitting how much I have lost instead of being ashamed of how bad I let myself get.

I think so. You know I'll have to make a big production out of it Smiley

Wow...you're catching up to me.  I put on winter weight (and winter bush), and crept back up to 199.  I won't go back to 2 bills.  Started running this morning.  Soon after I started, my legs, heels, and lungs all went on protest, and was wondering what the hell is wrong with me.  90% of it is half mental...and I need to step up early on.  Pace was good, I want to increase distance.  I have ambitious goals for this year, and I can't take my time ramping up, yet I can't afford setbacks, either.

But enough about me.  Congrats, J, on what you've accomplished so far.
